Applicants are required to have good University first degree grades in Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, Geosciences. HND results holders can as well apply for Post-graduate studies.

University of Port Harcourt Emerald Energy Institute Post-graduate Requirements for M.Sc of Energy Economics, Energy Business Management, Petroleum Business Management, Petroleum Economics
To qualify for tge Post-graduate Master programme, applicants are expected to have a minimum of second class upper (2nd Honour) in any relevant engineering courses, social sciences, law, geosciences and management.
Applicants with Second Class lower with three years working experience in the oil and gas industry can apply. All applicants should satisfy the University of Port Harcourt matriculation requirements.
University of Port Harcourt Emerald Energy Institute Post-graduate PhD Requirements
Applications for PhD programme are very competitive, application shall be granted based on the following requirements;
. Application is open for applicants with Second Class Degree (Upper Honour) or Second Class Lower with 3.0 grades on 5.0 scale with at least three years of working experience in the oil and gas industry can apply.
. Applicants must have completed their M.sc in appropriate major and should not have less than 4.0 grades on 5.0 scale.
Programme Duration
Each of the programme shall not exceed 12 calendar months.
