Every year, DAAD Leadership for Africa Master’s Scholarships organised Scholarships programme for Africans. The organisers have announced application for this year Scholarships programme.
Requirements for DAAD Leadership for Africa Master’s Scholarships
. Applicants for the Scholarships programme must be a holder of first degree from a reputation University. Applicants application should scale the German University Standard for applying for a University Master’s degree.
. Such a requirement must be a second class upper division (2nd Class Honour)
. The required language is English or should be fluent in German language
DAAD Leadership for Africa Master’s Scholarships Target
. Highly qualified applicants meeting the requirements above would be acceptable for the Scholarships Programme.
. Such that would apply should first have their first degree with minimum of second class upper
. Applicants could hail from any of the following countries which must includes Nigeria, Chad, Togo, Congo Dr, Togo, Niger etc.
. Applicants should be a resident of the country which should includes Togo, Niger, Congo Dr, Nigeria, Chad
Benefits of DAAD Leadership for Africa Master’s Scholarship
The benefits of the Scholarships programme includes but not limited to the following points
. Qualified applicants has the opportunity to learn German Language in Germany up to six months before the programme kicks off
. The Scholarships programme is tuition free for Master of Arts (M.A) or Masters of Science (M.Sc) courses at a Federal University or States run University
. Qualified applicants will undertake a compulsory training before the expiration of their Scholarships studies.
DAAD Leadership for Africa Master’s Scholarships Programme Duration and Funding
In general, qualified applicants will commence their German language studies earlier in April for all the courses. Their official Scholarships programme will commence in October, 2023 six months after German language studies have been concluded.
Also note that all eligible and qualified Masters applicants programme will run for two years before convocation of all applicants.
Venues of DAAD Leadership for Africa Master’s Scholarships
. German language studies which is up to six months will commence in Germany untill after six months when it gad been concluded. This is because participation in German language studies is compulsory for all qualified applicants.
. While the Scholarships programme is ongoing, every participating applicants is entitle to €934
. Qualified Applicants have access to adequate health insurance scheme, accident insurance scheme, personal and private liability insurance in Germany.
. Qualified applicants will enjoy free travel allowance
. Qualified Applicants have access to yearly studies allowance
. Where this is applicable, traveling spouse or family will benefits from monthly rent subsidy and monthly allowance.
Selection of Applicants for DAAD Leadership for Africa Master’ Scholarship
. Eligible applicants undertake a place based test base on documents submitted.
. An important yardstick for selection is equal opportunity, social criteria which involves special life circumstances, students from non-academic background or migration history will be considered
