The Rivers State Scholarships Programme is annually carried out for Rivers State students. The grass aim of the scholarships is for the Government to empower students in making their dreams comes to fulfillment.
The yearly programme have benefited many students since the commencement. Through the programme, many students of the state have been sent abroad to study in different Universities of their choice.
In like manner, some of the students that benefits from the Rivers State Scholarships are given admission to study in some Nigerian University. Many would still benefit this year from the Scholarships as soon as portal opens for application.
Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarships
To be eligible for the Rivers State Scholarship, applicants or candidates must meets the requirements for the scholarship programme which includes;

- Applicants must be Rivers State indigine
- It’s compulsory that candidate has five credit in one sitting in either of WASSCE/GCE/SSCE/NECO to qualify for the scholarship application. The five credit passes includes English Language and Mathematics and other three subjects.
- Applicants or candidates must currently be a 100 level students in any of the tertiary institution in Rivers State before applying for the scholarship programme
Others includes
- Applicants must submit an online application form within the stipulated time
- Applicants must submit online their institution current admission letter, year of admission, course duration, course of study
- A0llucants name, email address and phone number
- A valid local government of origin identification letter, that must be Rivers State Local Government.
- Evidence of state of origin
- A valid means of tertiary institution identification, i.e id card, national identification letter.

Requirements for Rivers State Scholarships Programme
The following requirements applies to intending students;
- School Admission Letter
- A recommendation letter from Village or Monarch
- A local government identification letter
- Current School fees receipt
- Student must be a pamo students
How to Apply for Rivers State Scholarships Programme
Interested students who pissed all the requirements should go to the verification center at Obi Wali Cultural Event Center, Port Harcourt for screening.
