Out of this world’: Carragher wowed by ‘unbelievable’ £200,000-a-week striker linked with Chelsea

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has raved about Chelsea target and Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

The former Liverpool defender has said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:59pm, May 22, 2023) that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, who has been linked with Chelsea in the summer transfer window, has been out of this world.

While acknowledging how good Erling Harland has been for Manchester City, Carragher noted the quality of Kane for scoring so many goals in a poor Tottenham team.

Norway international striker Haaland has scored 36 goals and given seven assists in 34 Premier League matches for City this season.

Kane has scored 28 goals and given three assists in 37 Premier League games for Tottenham this campaign.

The Independent reported last week that incoming Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino has discussed with his Blues bosses the prospect of signing Kane from Spurs.

Pochettino worked with the 29-year-old £200,000-a-week (The Sun) England international striker when he was the Tottenham boss.

Praise for Chelsea target Harry Kane

Carragher said about Kane: “Unbelievable. Haaland, we have said before, Player of the Year, is a freak, Harry Kane, what he has done this season, playing in one of the worst teams he has played in, to get that number of goals is out of this world.”

Potentially big signing for the Blues

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane would be a massive signing for Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world who could end up as the top scorer of all time in the Premier League.

The 29-year-old is at the top of his game now and would be able to make an immediate impact at Chelsea.

However, we do not think that Tottenham would sell the striker to Chelsea.

After all, Chelsea and Tottenham are bitter London rivals, and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would be fully aware of how much the North London club’s fans would not like it if Kane moved to the Blues.
